The Department has identified a scam email

The Department has identified a scam email that is being distributed to some school email addresses. Scam emails attempt to convince or threaten users to divulge information that could help criminals steal money. The email may appear to be from a random email address, with the subject line prefaced with three letters, a date and a comment. It threatens the recipient by asking for money in exchange for the user’s privacy. If you have received this scam email, please delete it immediately. If you have clicked on the link in this email, please contact the Service Centre on 1800 680 445 and advise the consultant that you have clicked on a link in a scam email. Further information about the scam email can be found on the website.
