 Central Queensland University has released it’s 2018 VET in Schools Guide. Most courses are face to face on campus, but there are quite a few online courses on offer. There are also subsidised courses with no fee payable. Application instructions are in the Guide. 

 TAFE Qld Gold Coast have released their TAFE at School Course Guide for 2018. To apply go to: www:// Enter the code: TQGC1801

​ TAFE Qld Brisbane and Skills Tech have released their TAFE at School Program Guide for 2018​. Please note that courses may be added and deleted according to enrolment numbers etc, so the best way to know if a course is still being offered is to log on as if you are applying for the course and see if it listed in the drop-down selection area. Instructions for applying are on page 5 of the Program Guide.

 TAFE Queensland East Coast have released their TAFE at School Program Guide for 2018. Instructions for applying are on page 43 of the Program Guide. Note that BSB31215 Certificate III in Library and Information Services (online) and CUA40915 Certificate IV in Music Industry are not being offered. Two additions to the Hervey Bay campus are Certificate III in Screen & Media and Certificate II in Applied Fashion & Design.

 TAFE Queensland North have released their TAFE at School Program Guide for 2018. To apply, go to The code is TQN1801.
  The Coastal Cookery Trade Training Centre has been developed out of a partnership between Maroochydore SHS, Nambour SHS and Burnside SHS to address the skill shortage within the commercial cookery industry on the Sunshine Coast. The Centre is located at Maroochydore SHS and has quality trainers, facilities and programs for students. TAFE Qld East Coast will be delivering the training towards Certificate II in Hospitality. If you live in the Sunshine Coast area, this could be the perfect opportunity to get started in an exciting industry.
 Expressions of Interest are now open for the School to Work Transition Programs. These programs prepare students for employment while they are still at school through structured workplace learning, including 20 days unpaid work experience and completion of a nationally recognised qualification. These programs are for students in Year 11 or 12 in 2018.  2 additional QCE points are earned for the 20 days’ work placement.  Contact Elena Simmons if you are interested in applying.    

 TAFE Qld Gold Coast are opening their doors at their Coomera campus on Saturday 14 October from 9.30 am – 2.30 pm at 198 Foxwell Road, Coomera. There will be interactive displays, tours of film editing suites, sound recording studios and Black Box Theatre, tours of the campus,  as well as a Radio Metro Pop Up Party with Celebrity DJ & MC Bilsy.  Central Queensland University Brisbane is holding an Open Day on Thursday 10 August from 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm. There are study area presentations, and opportunities to chat to staff and current students. All details are in the Open Day Program. They are also holding online chat sessions on Wednesday: 16, 30 August and 13 September from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
 TAFE Qld East Coast are offering a chance to experience Open Days at Mooloolaba, Nambour, Hervey Bay and Bundaberg campuses on Friday 27 October.
 TAFE Qld Brisbane are offering a Spring Season School Program – a series of insightful, hands-on practical workshops being held during the September school holidays. Each session is focused on specific industry and study areas, where students in years 10, 11 and 12 can discover firsthand the ins and outs of a potential study pathway.
TAFE Qld Gold Coast are hosting a Health Info Night on Thursday 19 October from 6.00pm – 8.00pm at TAFE Qld Southport, Stage Precinct, Ground Level, 91-99 Scarborough Street, Southport. The evening will commence with a presentation followed by break-out sessions for each course where staff and teachers will be available to answer your questions. You need to register by Friday 6 October. The evening is for the Faculty of Community Services, Health and Nursing.
